110+ Videos on Ag YouTube Channel Promote Farm Safety
USAgNet - 09/21/2018

There is something for everyone on the U.S. Agricultural Centers' YouTube channel. Whether you are an agricultural producer, educator, employer or a farm family member, you will find helpful and educational videos for "Cultivating the Seeds of Safety" the theme for this year's National Farm Safety and Health Week, Sept. 16-22.

These 110+ safety and health videos focus on agriculture, forestry and fishing; popular topics include: grain bins, heat illness, tractor rollovers, livestock safety and needlestick prevention. The videos, many in both English and Spanish, can be used informally or integrated into a formal training program to keep people safe and healthy as they work or visit agricultural sites.

"As harvest season approaches, each of us can help keep safety top of mind by reviewing and sharing safety resources to reinforce safe work practices and not taking shortcuts that can lead to injuries," said Bruce Alexander, UMASH director.

To encourage more organizations and groups to share safety messages and resources with their members, customers, students, etc., UMASH has launched a Farm Safety Partner Campaign that runs throughout the month of September.

Those who SHARE safety reminders or resources during September and TELL us about their activities via our on-line form will be recognized as a "Farm Safety Partner" on the UMASH website and be sent a Farm Safety Partner Certificate.

Join the campaign and show your commitment to protecting the health and wellbeing of the people working in agriculture.
