American Angus Association to Debut New Program on RFD-TV
USAgNet - 11/20/2009
The American Angus Association is launching into nationwide television broadcasting with the airing of its first, hour-long program this coming January.
Called "I Am Angus," the program will profile people from across the country whose lives are defined by Angus cattle and Angus beef.
It will also include short news features about the Association and highlight key programs that can strengthen the economic position of cattle producers and feedlots.
In addition, the program will feature film footage taken in the 1940s, '50s and '60s of Angus farms and Angus ranches, showing the dramatic changes in beef production, selection and marketing during the last
60 years.
"We're excited that we're moving into television programming, and believe the quality of the content will be enjoyed by people across America," Bryce Schumann, Association CEO, says. "Our organization is
committed to taking a strong, multimedia approach to communicating the value of Angus cattle and the benefits of being a member of our organization."
"I Am Angus" will air at 9 p.m. EST, Jan. 4, 2010, on RFD-TV. Check local listings for more information.
