Dow & DuPont Merger to Face Anti-Trust Implications

The DowDuPont merger announced late last year is taking some heat from the Senate Judiciary Committee. Chairman Chuck Grassley is raising alarms over the proposal to merge by companies, as the Iowa Senator is threatening possible hearings on the
anti-trust implications of the move.
The merge would create a $95 billion company, which would split into three separate companies. All selling as much as a fifth of the worlds pesticides and 40 percent of U.S. corn and bean seeds.
Grassley says that makes a huge concern because of a potential of reduced competition, force layoffs
Grassley hinted he may be persuading committee members for a possible call for hearings.
