U.S. Milk Production Up 2 Percent in February

Milk production in the United States during February totaled 17.0 billion pounds, up 0.2 percent from a year ago.
Production per cow averaged 1,818 pounds, 19 pounds above February 2018.
The number of milk cows on farms in the U.S. was 9.36 million head. That's 77,000 head less than February 2018, but unchanged from January 2019.
